Legitimate ways to make money online?

I’ve been searching around looking for the best way to make extra income online. I’ve read a lot about google adsense, adwords, and affiliate programs. Are these the best way to make money online? And could someone explain exactly how adwords works?… you have to pay per click so how do i Get paid? I’ve heard of many people who make sufficient living off of google alone, of course i’m not going to quit my day job but is this feasable somewhere down the road? Thanks for your input guys!

we cannot deny the fact that there are many scams on the net. but there are legitimate ways to make money online. you need a thorough research and knowledge about right and proper ways to make money online.
There are many ways on how to make money online. Why not offer your expertise aside from selling your stuffs on ebay. Get paid by writing blogs about interesting topics. Also get paid by writing reviews. There are sites that offer free training and free video tutorials and web templates to help you started your own online business.

first step in starting an online venture is to be realistic. there is not shortcut and no get rich quick here. Adwords and PPC works if you have money to burn, however, i would not recommend it.
There’s a guy named Joel Comm who has made a lot of money with google, and I would recommend that you read what he has to say. he has other people’s story as well.

Adwords and other PPC services are a waste of money until you’re experienced enough to know what you’re doing with them.
Adsense and affiliate programs are better bets for newbies. I make the majority of my online earnings through revenue sharing websites such as HubPages, eHow, and Squidoo that pay you a share of ad revenue and/or affiliate sales. (ebay and Amazon are the best affiliates for beginners.) These have the disadvantage that you don’t get 100%, but the advantage for newbies that it’s much easier to get noticed and build an audience. It is also possible to make money through blogging (a good source of info about blogging for money is http://www.problogger.net/ ) or building a niche website and running Adsense and/or affiliate programs on it.
You can also make money on websites such as ebay, Etsy, Cafepress, or Zazzle, or find freelance work on websites such as elance or odesk.
